The Center of Sovereignty (CoS) is a sacred space dedicated to restoring connection—to self, others, nature, and the Divine. In a world increasingly fragmented and technologized, CoS offers a sanctuary where ancient wisdom meets modern life.
Located on Native land just outside San Diego, La Fortressa is our temenos—a mountain retreat where guests can slow down, reconnect, and experience deep presence. Surrounded by vast skies, stone structures, and serene silence, it’s a place to remember how to listen, play, and just be.
Our soul-tenders are devoted guides, with backgrounds in a wide range of healing arts—spiritual and depth psychology, somatic work, trauma and addiction recovery, shamanic practices, devotional chanting and art expression. Together, we hold space for transformation, sovereignty, and the sacred.
Ceremonies, rites of passage, and events offer ongoing opportunities to explore and express your soul.
This is a journey for all Truth seekers, a confluence of Soul, Spirit, and Sovereignty.

Rites of Passage
Initiation, Transition and Navigation
There are moments when we seek deep guidance, whether it is at the threshold of a new chapter (initiation), at the end of a chapter (transition) or we feel trapped, stuck or lost (navigation). Sometimes it feels like all three of these life phases are colliding. Participating in a sacramental ceremony is an opportunity to reconnect with: your Self, humanity, the planet and the Divine.
This is a journey, not a destination!
There are many considerations as you embark on this sacred path. It may take weeks of preparation and an ongoing effort to integrate the revelations afterwards. Please read the FAQ to see if the Center of Sovereignty feels like the right channel for calling in your HumanDivinity.
Ceremonies and Rituals
CoS soul-tenders are ordained ministers, and honored to consecrate unions. We offer blessings for babies, birthdays, animals, homes and businesses. All these celebrations are customized to your uniqueness.
We facilitate relationship closure rituals, and are present for last rites. We offer clearings for families and the homes of the deceased. We collaborate with an amazing full service end-of life-care team which includes death doulas.
Individual Soul Tending
Perhaps you experienced a rupture with spirituality and religion, or you had a sacramental journey and are looking for more support to bring that experience into your daily life. Perhaps there is a topic that is weighing on your heart, soul and mind, and you just don’t know what to do about it. CoS offers individual spiritual counsel on all topics related to our HumanDivinity, particularly:

Group Facilitations and Public Speaking
Our soul-tenders are available to facilitate groups in various sacred modalities, including ho’oponopono, chanting, spiritual psychology, art, and nature quests.
We are open to public and private speaking events, panels and research collaborations especially on the topics listed under the “individual soul-tending” as well as: Sovereignty, Surrender, Responsibility, Self-forgiveness, Music as Medicine, Soul-Discovery through Archetypal Art, the Paradox of Boundaries in Oneness, The Role of Psychedelics in the Emergence of our HumanDivinity, and the Magic of Liminal Spaces.
Retreats
1-7 day retreats that focus on silent meditation, breath, art, music, creative expression, and elemental vision quests are a way of communing with and expressing your Divinity without sacramental ceremony. At this moment, group overnight options include tent camping onsite (bring your own tent), as well as staying at a select number of airbnbs a 5 minute drive from La Fortressa.
